Positions
From 1979 to 1993, Hun Sen held various positions in the Cambodian administrations - the People's Republic of Kampuchea and then the State of Cambodia. As Foreign Minister in 1979, as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister from 1981 to 1985, and then as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister from 1985 to 1991, Hun Sen brought about several remarkable achievements, laying the basis for the implementation of peace, national reconciliation, and the development of Cambodia. Through his willing contribution and efforts, Hun Sen proved an indispensable architect of the Paris Peace Agreement on Cambodia.
1993-98, Co-Premier then second Prime Minister of first coalition government; 1998, Vice-President, Cambodian People's Party and Prime Minister of Cambodia.

His Excellency Ambassador Nambora, who currently holds the position of 'Dean of the Asian Countries' Group in London, is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Royal Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (Also accredited to Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway with residence in London). He currently holds the position as "Dean of the Asian Countries' Group in London.
Ambassador Hor worked at the Genocide Museum in Toul Sleng, as researcher between 1980-85, and Director of the Humanitarian Relief Committee in Kompong Som Port from 1986-87. He joined the Foreign Ministry in 1988, a year later when Cambodia shifted towards free market economics, he was rewarded with postings to Thailand between 1993-96, and a scholarship to the United Nations in Geneva between 1994-95, before becoming Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Economic and Social Committee for Asia and the Pacific in Thailand between 1995-96.
Ambassador Hor was appointed Under Secretary of State and Advisor on Foreign Affairs to the Head of State, positions he held from 1996 until 1998. HE Hor Nam Bora was posted as Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand in 1999, albeit as a political appointee. He thrived there, picking up the Australian Committee on Human Rights Education's 'Citizen of Humanity' award in 2002. He left Canberra in October 2004.
HE Hor Nam Bora was decorated as "Commander" of the Royal Order of Cambodia (2007) and "Grand Officer" of the Royal Order of Cambodia (2010). He was promoted to the rank and status of Minister/Advisor to the Royal Government of Cambodia (2009) and, appointed as Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Cambodia (2011) in charge of (Campaign) Promoting Cambodia's Candidature to the United Nations Security Council 2013-2104.
