Associate Fellowship
Associate Fellows are persons of outstanding intellectual ability, who are interested in the professional practise of commercial diplomacy and the work of the global professional body (ACCD), and wish to participate. This category of Membership is open to those with personal interest in the advancement and promotion of responsible commercial diplomatic education, practise and service, and who are qualified executives practising in the broad area encompassed by international trade and investment policy; international economics and commercial; agriculture; or international arbitration related subjects, and fellows of affiliated professional institutions. Associate Fellows are elected for renewable terms (annually), however, application for full Associateship or Fellowship must be made within three years, upon completion of the required mandatory qualifying programme.
Membership is open to individuals with personal interests in responsible commercial diplomatic education, practise and service, and who have completed an acceptable advanced degree programme (Master or Doctorate) in a relevant/related field, but:

have not registered or completed the required mandatory qualifying programme, as recommended by council;

can satisfy council with substantial career progression, and willingness to register for the required mandatory qualifying programme, within three years;

can produce evidence of seniority and maturity of experience in any field which involves or promotes the advancement and professional practice of responsible commercial diplomacy;

in the opinion of Council, be making or have made significant contribution to the advancement of global trade, commercial diplomatic service, the profession of commercial diplomacy, and or the objects of the Association;

is, or have been in employment for an aggregate of at least five years or more (Senior Management/Executive position); and who
-
is willing and able to promote, advance, safeguard and protect the integrity of the global professional body (ACCD).
To be elected an ASSOCIATE FELLOW, candidate must satisfy Council:
- By being a Senior Manager/Executive or equivalent of an institution/corporation for an aggregate of at least five years, and has in the opinion of the Council made significant contribution to the advancement of global trade policy, negotiations, development and or commercial diplomacy and the profession, or the objects of the Association and
- By willing and able to promote, contribute to, and actively support the mission and policy of the Association.
Council will consider or may recognise any positions which it deems to be equivalent in professional responsibility i.e Director General, Chief Executive, Chairman etc of an acceptable institution, organization, corporation or government agency.
