As the first independent regulation authority and international professional awarding body, ACCD provides a wide range of professional membership options that are tailored to recognise seasoned career commercial diplomats and new applicants alike. It is independent of government and does not owe allegiance to any political party.
Association of Certified Commercial Diplomats is an extraterritorial professional diplomatic institution, whose activities include provision of postgraduate level higher education, justice and judicial, regulation of, and contribution to responsible and more efficient commercial diplomatic education, practise and service.
Umbrella of the global professional body
The umbrella of ACCD covers career ambassadors, representatives, trade and investment advisors, arbitrators, negotiators of IIAs, policy-makers & government officials involved in commercial diplomatic issues i.e commercial counselors, IIA experts, academia, private sector & NGO representatives, officials in government ministries, parastatals, corporations, and educational institutions globally. The cadres of individual membership are complimented by a corporate option which is reserved for institutions that display an outstanding contribution to responsible commercial diplomatic practise.
